The mouth of the Rio Mundaú is the most dramatic river-meets-sea encounter on the Ceará coast: the river emerges between 10–15 m barchan dunes and creates a freshwater mirror that contrasts with the salty Atlantic blue, all within a federal APA reserve. The catamaran travels upriver through mangroves, dunes, and spinning wind turbine towers — a 1h30 tour that distills the best of Ceará nature.

Practical intel
The catamaran needs at least 10 people to depart — in low season, coordinate with @mundaupasseios_ in advance. The natural pools only exist at low tide (check tide table). Hotel das Mares is the best accommodation with direct access to the revitalized waterfront (R$10M investment by the Ceará government). Mundaú works best as a full-day excursion from Flecheiras (15 km) or Guajiru.
