Perfect flat water for kite freestyle. Lagoon and downwinds to Preá.
Ilha do Guajiru has the largest lagoon in NE Brazil — 6 km long and 400 m wide, entirely shallow — creating an infinite playground for freestyle and progression where you walk hundreds of meters over submerged sandbars with knee-deep water. The bed-to-board model with dozens of pousadas on the lagoon edge is the most developed on the corridor.

The spot is in Itarema municipality — do not confuse with Guajiru in Trairi (a different municipality, 70 km south). Schools Loopingkite and Guajiru Kite Center (both ABK) operate directly on the lagoon. Arrive before noon for the most stable wind; afternoons can get gusty. There is no ATM in the village — withdraw in Itarema before arriving.
