Preá is the world kite mecca — 20–35 knots with near 100% consistency from July to February, seven or more schools on a single beach stretch, and an unprecedented luxury investment cycle (R$250M Carnaúba Wind House — Phase 1 open, complex expanding). The Preá → Jericoacoara downwinder (~12 km) passing the Pedra Furada arch is the most iconic introductory ride in NE Brazil.

Practical intel
Withdraw cash in Jijoca de Jericoacoara or bring from Fortaleza — ATMs in Preá and Jeri are limited. The CE-182 road was recently paved, so car access to the Preá junction is easy; from there, 4x4 or a transfer to the village. Book at least 2 months ahead at Rancho do Peixe and Preabeach Boutique Hotel — the best rooms sell out in high season.
