Last beach in Luís Correia before the Cajueiro da Praia border. Fishing village of ~2,000 people at the Camurupim River mouth. At low tide, sandbars emerge forming crystal-clear natural pools. Consistent 15-25 knot winds attract kitesurfers. Sunset boat tours to see scarlet ibis flocks returning to the mangroves.

Macapá is even more rustic than Barra Grande — no pharmacy, no ATM. The 35knots Brasil hostel offers 300 Mbps fiber and a cowork space — a welcome anomaly in such a remote village. Barra Grande is only ~10 minutes by kite away (or 40 min by car via the inland road that skirts the Rio Camurupim).
